About the Donohoe Group
The Donohoe Group is a research team in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Oxford specialising in synthetic organic chemistry. Our research focuses on developing new catalytic reactions and synthetic methods that enable the efficient preparation of complex molecules, with applications in medicine, natural product synthesis and the pharmaceutical industry.
Our work spans areas including hydrogen borrowing catalysis, catalytic dearomatisation and natural product synthesis, combining fundamental method development with the synthesis of biologically important compounds. Alongside our research, the group provides a collaborative environment for undergraduate, doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, with regular meetings to share ideas, discuss new discoveries and explore the latest advances in the field.
